What is the University Incubation Program?

The Whitewater University Innovation Center facility is managed by the City of Whitewater, while the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater powers the University Incubation Program. The University Incubation Program provides consulting, mentoring, seminars and many more services for our clients.

Business Incubation Services

Through our business incubation services, the Whitewater University Innovation Center provides entrepreneurial assistance through the following services:

  • Business Planning Services: business plan development, business regulations, management and training, operational planning, and strategic planning

  • Marketing & Sales: public relations support, sales support, marketing strategy consulting, promotion strategies, and professional networking

  • Product Development: research and development, prototyping, product development, and technology commercialization

Preparation to Raise Capital

Additionally, the University Incubation Program enables the Whitewater University Innovation Center to help clients prepare to raise capital through the following services:

  • Pitch desk development

  • Fiscal referrals and investor introductions

  • Financial and loan packaging assistance

  • SBIR, STTR, or Ideadvance grant referrals

  • Financial analysis and consulting

Consulting & Training

Our entrepreneurial assistance and preparation to raise capital services pair with our iMentor program. Not only are our iMentors experts in their field, but they are also lecturers/professors at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. Their connection to the university provides access to students and university resources. Our iMentors provide expertise in regards to: business development, management, entrepreneurship, finance, real estate, marketing, human resources, ethics, physics, and sales.

Event & Promotion Support

The University Incubation Program also powers all events, seminars, and workshops at the Innovation Center. The program also enables promotional support for clients through the Whitewater University Innovation Center’s newsletter, website, and social media channels (Learn more about promotional support).
