Professor Basu Reveals to Rotarians the Rise of Social Entrepreneurship

UW-Whitewater professor Dr. Choton Basu recently discussed the rise of social entrepreneurship with Rotarians in Newville, WI and was featured in an article by Tristan McGough in the Edgerton Reporter. Basu stated, “a new breed of entrepreneur has evolved and with them a new enterprise system is performing in three integrated ways: socially, economically and environmentally.” He explained, “the future will not allow organizations to pick between their people, the planet and profit. We believe that truly sustainable organizations must consider all three. Our solutions ensure that participants begin with the right mindset and end with a truly sustainable outcome that has a triple bottom line.”
